Aldi opens new store
in style
Last year Aldi opened a new branch in Aarschot, the first in Belgium to be designed in line with the new store concept. The German supermarket chain asked our event team to get involved in the official opening.
New store concept
Aldi plans to upgrade all its supermarkets in Belgium to its new store concept in the near future. Precisely how that looks was revealed when Aldi’s newest store opened in Aarschot at the end of 2019. The supermarket is split over two floors, with a parking lot under the ground.
The opening
The Belgian store managers, the chain’s senior management and the employees at the new site were invited to the opening. We welcomed 115 guests to the event, which was held on a Tuesday afternoon in November.
Blue and white opening
For the occasion we transformed the parking lot under the new shop into a stylish event venue. Blue carpet, white drapes, attractive decorations and lighting, signage...
The whole setting exuded Aldi quality. The catering too. Only Aldi products and ingredients were used, from the aperitif and the quick bites to the coffee in the barista-staffed bar. After the official welcomes and a chance for management to set out the group’s plans for the future, the standing buffet was opened.
